Great video thanks, just wish you had a better camera… but you made up for it with the beard.

Thanks for the kind words. I think the mileage is rate 30 City 41 Highway. However I get a steady 40 MPG (US gallon) average. I calculate mileage post fill up (not the on board computer). You also have to remember this is not a light car either (3200 LBS).
It’s a bit pricey, however the value holds up good. Will it hold up for 10 years, well I’ve been driving it and caring for it, as if it will go beyond that.
The nice thing about the Tech package is that it is TDI golf with GTI peices.

That was the best overview of this car I’ve seen yet. And I’ve been shopping at VW dealerships! I’ve had 2 GTIs mark III and IIII… Loved them both but they suck down gas! That TDI is one amazing vehicle. Puts the Honda hybrid and Prius to shame!!

Very detailed video. I really appreciate all the minor features you included to discuss. So, you said yout city mpg is 35?.. That’s a few higher than what it’s listed as, if so. You’re a die-hard VW owner, from the quiver you shared owning, so seeing you have this TDI makes it more confident of a contender for me to choose. What made you get the Mark 6 when you already had the Mark 5? And to ask one more, would this Mark 6 be a purchase that could still run 10+ years later? TYVM!!! :)
