The Golf left Volkswagen’s lineup for a short time to return in 2010 completely redesigned as its sixth generation, replacing the Rabbit. Very few changes have been made to the newest 2011 Golf compact sedan while Volkswagen has kept it with the same features most have come to love about the Golf.
The Volkswagen Golf comes with two engine options: a 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder, 170 horsepower capable engine or a 2.0-liter turbo direct-injection (TDI), clean diesel engine with 140 horsepower. There are two door options for the Volkswagen Golf LI vehicles: two doors, with either a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic with Tiptronic or four doors, with only the automatic available.
